del.icio.us Complete for the TRULY DESPERATE

Okay, so FF3 came and I got a little obsessed. A little *more* obsessed. I could not get a single de.icio.us extension to work and my life became this war on broken del extensions. Delicious Complete, which I use every day, hasn't been updated in *years*. The only recent activity there is users begging for FF3 compatibility. The new Delicious Bookmarks extension from Yahoo? Would not sync (they think this will be fixed soon -- I sort of stalk the discussion group, not that this comes as a shock to any of you). It also would not autocomplete my tags in Classic Mode, or detect links that I'd already bookmarked. USELESS! Thankfully, this is now fixed in v2.0.0.64, but it came too late to stop me from what I tried next.

I decided to FORCE del Complete to work on FF3. I did some hacking in the code, the bare minimum required to make it operational. It is still very buggy. It has all the pre-existing bugs, plus some new ones caused by running it on FF3. For example, in the posting window tag highlighting no longer works. As you type tags, or when you click on them, they no longer highlight. And wow, do not even think about opening the sidebar. ONLY USE THIS IF YOU DESPERATELY NEED TO POST TO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS.

You can get it from my website: http://murklins.talkoncorners.net/extensions.html

Seriously, this is offered up as-is. Use at your own risk. It has been tested only a tiny bit by me, and a lot more by [info]wistfuljane, except I ignored all her bug reports (thank you and sorry, Jane -- you are amazing!). I won't be fixing things; it is not supposed to be anything other than a stop-gap measure until such time as a truly FF3-compatible multi-account del extension comes out.

I finally switched to FF3 and felt like my right hand had been cut off without delicious complete, so, thank you for this!

My pleasure! I can't live without it, myself.
